Independent Health Services is committed to providing health services to the greater East River, South Dakota community. We can help you with on-site screenings, vaccines, and general health education for a variety of events and groups.
On-Site Insurance Physical Examination
All insurance companies require a “mini physical” which are exams to obtain a policy. The insurance exam is completed by a licensed examiner who will contact you to set an appointment at your convenience.Alzheimer’s Education
Alzheimer’s Disease causes problems with memory, thinking, behavior and can eventually interfere with daily tasks. We offer comprehensive education, advice and planning services.Professional Caregiver Support
We assist in the development or training for caregivers in the professional world, nursing homes and assisted living. We offer the current, evidence-based training to certify caregivers as approved by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.Health Screening
We conduct preventive health screenings that focus on heart disease, cardiovascular disease and stroke.Blood Pressure Screening
We can facilitate group health assessments, blood pressure check and general health education or access to helpful resources.On-Site Vaccination
We can administer pneumonia vaccines and influenza vaccines especially during the flu season. We have well-trained nurses who can carry out these preventive health measures at more affordable costs.Paramedical Exams
We provide a full line of paramedical and skilled nursing as well as physical examination services for the insurance underwriting process. Our affiliation with the states’ top examination, medical, diagnostic testing and data collection providers allow approval to do testing for all business corporations and insurance companies statewide. This process is timely and uncomplicated.Specimens Collection
Each individual insurance company selects the tests they need for the underwriting procedure. We can collect and prepare urine or blood for analysis; the insurance company gives instructions to the lab regarding specific tests.Family Caregiver Support
